Do we need a wedding planner?
Planning a wedding can be stressful for most couples. Afterall it is the first big party you are going to throw with your significant other as an adult and many are often clueless on how to go about it.
Having a wedding planner gives you the added advantage of having professional advice as you embark on the journey of planning for your big day. We recognise that planning is a full-time job! With us on your side, you reduce the stress of having to juggle work while planning for your wedding. You need not have to deal with the unfamiliar traditions whilst striving to satisfy most – if not all – of your loved one’s request. Let a wedding planner help you find that balance and have that peace of mind knowing that things are headed in the right direction!
Is there a charge for initial consultation?
First time consultation is non-chargeable. Please do not be shy – come say hello! We are more than happy to meet over coffee/tea to better understand your needs, preferences and desires.
What is the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding stylist?
Wedding planners focus on all aspects of the wedding, ensuring a smooth delivery on D-Day! The wedding planners could be responsible for big items such as (but not limited to) venue specifications, the arrangement and coordination of required logistics to fit into the itinerary or right down to small detail of ensuring that the gowns are all nicely packed and returned to the bridal suite.
A wedding stylist on the other hand would only be focused on the wedding decorations. The actual planning still falls on to the couple.
Why will I need a wedding planner when my wedding venue already has an in-house wedding coordinator/consultant?
Bliss Pact wedding planners are not associated to any vendors/venue hence fully focus on the couple’s requirements. We will handle all the wedding related items, putting them together while ensuring that you wouldn’t feel overwhelmed by it all.
In-house wedding coordinators/consultants are assigned to you by the venue and would often only be able to assist you on areas where the venue is concerned. Therefore, in situations where assistance or services are required beyond what the venue has to offer, limited aid could possibly be provided.
How far in advance should we hire a planner?
9 – 12 months prior to your big day would be an ideal time frame for you to start planning for your wedding. Some couples prefer to hire us the moment they are engaged. There is really no hard and fast rule as to how far in advance it needs to be.
Are we required to work with vendors of Bliss Pact choice?
Of course not. Bliss Pact strongly believes that every wedding is unique, hence every aspect of it should be a choice of your own. What is important to us is you having vendors that you are comfortable with, a pricing that fits your budget and the delivery of an end product that you’ve envisioned.
We can provide you with our recommendation(s) should you not have any specific vendor(s) in mind. You are not obligated to engage any of the recommended vendor.
Will I lose control over my event if a planner is involved?
Planners are here to provide you with assistance throughout your planning journey. We will only run the show with given consent. In fact, we strongly encourage you to be involved as we are here to take the stress off you, not the event away from you.
